Your first lesson

Your first lesson is a chance to get comfortable, ask questions and agree a plan that suits you. You do not need to know everything before you begin.

A calm introduction

We talk about your experience and confidence, introduce the car controls and start with a manageable goal. There is plenty of time for explanations and questions.

Three simple steps

  1. Get comfortable. Adjust your seat and mirrors, and learn where the main controls are.
  2. Try one skill at a time. Build familiarity gradually, with clear guidance and time to practise.
  3. Make a plan. Review what went well and agree what to practise next.

Keep learning between lessons

Make a note of useful feedback and any questions for next time. Short, regular theory-study sessions can help connect what you read with what you practise.
