Your first lesson is a chance to get comfortable, ask questions and agree a plan that suits you. You do not need to know everything before you begin.

A calm introduction
We talk about your experience and confidence, introduce the car controls and start with a manageable goal. There is plenty of time for explanations and questions.
Three simple steps
- Get comfortable. Adjust your seat and mirrors, and learn where the main controls are.
- Try one skill at a time. Build familiarity gradually, with clear guidance and time to practise.
- Make a plan. Review what went well and agree what to practise next.

Keep learning between lessons
Make a note of useful feedback and any questions for next time. Short, regular theory-study sessions can help connect what you read with what you practise.
